I am thankful for chocolate and its medicinal properties … just kidding.
I am truly thankful for the thief on the cross. Not the unrepentant one, but the other one who’s heart was broken as he recognized the Messiah. I am thankful for his rebuke to the unrepentant criminal, defending Christ when Jesus would not defend [...]

Hijack time. Pull over Donna, I want to drive.
I am thankful for God’s immutability. He is changeless. When He sends the Spirit into our lives to regenerate us and make us spiritually alive, He knows that the fire of our first love will wane and fade, we will be distracted by outer and [...]

I just got done reading Phil Vischer’s bio about the rise and fall of his animation company, ‘Big Idea’. It’s a great book for those of us that wonder where God is when our dreams dissolve into nothing. Me, Myself and Bob is the book title. I’m not normally a reader of biographies, but this one was pretty good. [...]

Thanks to Jim for this.

I was sent this video today. I viewed it on www.catholicvote.com
My hat is off to my Catholic brothers and sisters who put this video together and who are stepping up to vote their conscience.

It’s true. I’m 39 today. I normally wouldn’t draw any attention to this fact, but my old friend John Hoffman drew this caricature of me, and I wanted to share it here.
Being 39 is cool. Thank you Lord for letting me make it this far.

I got the following email from a friend and wanted to share it:
This really puts it into perspective and if you have kids in public school you should really appreciate their teachers!
After being interviewed by the school administration, the teaching prospect said, “Let me see if I’ve got this right: “You want me to go [...]

On Alex’s 19th birthday last friday, we played hooky from our home bible study and went with Calvary Surprise’s Youth Group for Laser Tag. http://laserquest.com/ The staff there were cool, and the facility was very nice. Here’s some pics to commemorate the evenings festivities:
Alex and Major Tom mingling in the huge crowd of kids.
